What to do for Christmas@Orchard

Ok, as you would have noticed, our Christmas@Orchard blogsite is up at http://christmas-at-orchard.blogspot.com

Our publicity has gone into full swing and this is what we need you to do to maximize the effect of the publicity team’s effort.

  1. MSN. Include this line in your msn nick.
    (*) your name - Christmas@Orchard - JOIN NOW! http://christmas-at-orchard.blogspot.com
This will add a star icon before your name, to this effect:

  2. Include this html coding into your blog template, either on the sidebar or on your blog header.
    <object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/
    cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,29,0" height="200" width="250"><br /><param name="movie" value="http://img241.imageshack.us/img241/2532/
    blogadvertyb2.swf"><br /><param name="quality" value="high"><br /><embed src="http://img241.imageshack.us/img241/2532/
    blogadvertyb2.swf" quality="high" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" height="200" width="250"></object>
This will allow you to add the following flash file as a form of publicity.

Clicking on the flash file will bring you to the Orchard@Christmas blogsite.

  3. The publicity team will be adding more details on the site. This will ensure that someone coming in for the first time can understand what our event is all about and what they are in for. Right now, if I go in, I am still a little lost. Seems like bits and pieces of information here and there. Once this is done, even if you do not know all the details, you can direct your friends to the blogsite. I think this will help a lot in the invitation process. We also also working at to including detailed training times and venues for each individual cluster. This way, we can get our friends to update themselves on the latest training dates on the blogsite. There will be graphic links on the sidebar that links to individual blog postings for each cluster’s training details.

  4. We will also be having soft copies of the invitations cards downloadable from the blog so that you can use that to send to all our friends via email. Maybe even something that links to an e-invite site, like the MOL Christmas one.

  5. Lastly, I think you can explore adding Christmas@Orchard - JOIN NOW! http://christmas-at-orchard.blogspot.com into your emails too so that each time you send an email, it appears at the end of your message. I guess you can’t do this for official company emails but make it happen for your individual emails.

I don’t know about you, but I am excited about this already. See you on Wednesday as we seek God for more of Him!
