The night started off with an explosive worship led by FCBC's own "4 Heavenly Kings". Cheer sticks were in the air, people were singing and dancing, there was an unmistakable excitement in the air. It was great to see so many delegates in our midst. Indeed, one of the first things that struck me as I walked into Max Pavilion was that we need them. Yes, in my heart of hearts, I knew I was tired. I was discouraged, I was jaded. In a sense, I had forgotten why the G12 vision was so powerful and impactful. But as I glanced through the crowd, and saw the hunger and desire on the faces of many of the delegates, my spirit began to be lifted up. I knew a little bit more, that tonight was going to be different...
After a great celebration of worship in song and praise, SP together with Ps Nina came on stage to welcome the delegates. It was then that I realised this year is indeed a special year for us. We have the biggest numbers of foreign delegates ever, with 415 coming from Philippines and 865 from Taiwan and others from places as far as Mongolia, Jordan and Kazakhstan! Indeed the Lord is pleased as His people gather to declare His promises and worship Him!
"I believe the next 2 days will be life-changing for you! Not one of you will leave here disappointed!"
SP started his message by declaring and proclaiming these 2 important sentences. I let out a loud "Amen!" YES! I want to be changed, I want to be transformed for Chirst! If you are overseas reading this, or if you cannot make it to the conference for some reason, declare this upon your life right now! This year of victory for you has begun no matter where you are! Believe that!
Again, I felt a resonance in my spirit man as SP preached, "It's altogether possible that the rest of the world experience victory and you are a spectator!" I told the Lord in my heart again, Let me not be a spectator! Teach me! Mould me! Do whatever you need to Lord! Throughout every G12 Conference, I have always left with some part of me transformed. Yet many times, when I gathered feedback from our people, I sensed a prevailing spirit of indifference and nonchalance. Last night as I looked around, I prayed that it will not be so this year. YOU CAN MAKE A CHOICE! Open up your heart and allow God to speak deeply. HE WILL. I am testament of that!
SP spoke a powerful message, reminding us again that in the Year of Victory we are to be Always thankful, Always Victorious and Always a blessing to others. As I sat there listening, I felt the Holy Spirit tugging at my heart, "What is the victory for yourself, my friend..." And I ask this to you as you read this also. What is your victory?! The victory is not just for us to claim as a church, as a mass congregation. It is for us to claim personally! It is not just about seeing FCBC grow in depth and membership as a church. It is about YOU experiencing victory in your relationships, in your studies, in your character, in your job, in your spiritual walk with the Lord!
SP then said this, "6 years ago, FCBC was 10,000 strong. 6 years later, FCBC is still 10,000 strong! Have we failed? How can we teach others about G12 when we have not grown ourselves? But there is a DIFFERENCE! The 10,000 people today are not the same as the 10,000 people 6 years ago! These are 10,000 victorious warriors today!" Amen to that! But you know what, it is not so just because SP said so. You have to decide for yourself if you want your life to be counted!
