6- 6.45pm Good Food brought to us by Junius, Kong Ming, Chin Hou and Jonathan Tay.
6.50- 7.30pm My Mini-Sermon
Good Friday cannot be GOOD without the Sunday- It was time that we got down to real business. We played the audio bible for them to hear (John 18:1-19:42, NIV) with a photo strip of the events that took place which was creatively done by Tian yu. We did it differently due lack of resource. But I felt the people managed to follow through with the story. More then that I thought it went very well. And it was indeed a sacred period of time.
After that, I told them the meaning behind Good Friday and the coming of the Miracle Sunday and linked it up with what are they seeking in life!
7.30- 7.45pm During the Testimony, Dennis and Darryl shared their journey with Christ. It was simple but made a point that their lives changed upon knowing that Jesus died for them on the cross. The point is our God is still Alive and in the business of changing people's lives. All of these began with making a decision to give their lives to God. And i made my first Altar Call. And led them through the sinners prayer. I see your hands. 3 hands went up! I said "Alleluia" in my heart. And prayed a prayer for them all.
7.45-8pm Blessing our friends and Small group Testimony Time: My boys went to share their personal experience with God and ask them for their prayer requests. From their prayer requests, we'll choose a blessing of God for them and Bless with that and prayed a prayer for each one of them too. Most of them by then all of them were open to the gospel. It was a wonderful time of sharing and also consolidating.
At 8 -8.30pm, We cleaned up the area and had a de-brief with my guys. I believe that God used us to touch each one of their lives in a special way. A simple event with a Great God will turn out to be GREAT! Without God we could not have done that. And yes, we were God's hands, legs and mouthpiece. We thanked God for using us to Glorify Himself.
We had 1 salvation and 2 Re-dedications. There were 3 of them that said they wanted to know more about God. And One of them who came to church that following Sunday, received Christ.
I'm sure there are many wonderful stories out there... What's yours?
