Fellowship- Soccer

On the 11th of August 07, Evan and his subtribe organized a mini soccer competition at Mt Faber SAFRA to reach out to our friends and build our contact base. We had just 4 teams participating but one team calling themselves “The Conquerors” really stood out for their grit and determination.

This team is none other than a bunch of Sec 1 guys from Bukit Merah Secondary School. We got to know them through the “Take The City Walk” when their school participated in the walkathon. As a follow-up, we organized this soccer competition and invited them. Well, they came and truly played their hearts out against much bigger and stronger opposition. I would like to thank God for giving us this chance to organize this competition and get to know more friends. It was a truly enjoyable experience. Thank God for His faithfulness too because the morning started with dark clouds hovering and a light drizzle which soon turned into a passing shower. Then the sun came out and the court became dry once again! There were no injuries sustained as well=)

I enjoyed the time spent with my cell mates and spiritual family. It was a great time of bonding and just spending time together. Thank God for all you guys and for placing me in this family!
