Being faithful in the Good and Bad times

Recently I've watched this war series "Band of Brothers". I was admiring the bonding that each of the solider had for one another. The willingness that they had prepared to gave up their life for the sake of their Brothers. To cover one another back, to be their eyes when someone got blasted blind by a mortar, to be their legs when someone stepped onto a minefield. In war times, people stood up for one another. Dropping all their differences and come together for one common purpose--to pull through it together.

But what about in times of good? In peaceful times, series actually feature that those who have went into war were actually grateful for the peacetime. But what about the rest of the world who had never experience war time? As i did my own reflection, i realize that i have been taking those things around me for granted. When the economy is good, when my finance and time could support me to travel all the way to Expo to listen to God's words. Of course I don't mean that when I'm in times of difficulty, I won't be attending service. But it just that I find myself having this luxury where i don have to straggle in order to listen to God's words. And sometimes i feel that its far way off from my home (Jurong West).

It brings me back to the time where God lead Moses and all the Israelite out from Egypt, Everyone was grateful. But when it comes to the next generations, Everyone has forgotten what God has done for them, and they even complained. Sometimes I find myself in the position of the Israelite. I'm just forgetful about what God has done for me in my past.

So therefore i give thanks to God who is my provider.
And I praise Him for what He has done in my life.
