Entering 2007 as a Warrior of Light

By now, most of you would have heard Pastor Eugene declare in line with SP's vision for the church, that 2007 is a YEAR OF VICTORY for us! What does it mean for us to live out 2007 as a year of victory? Take a look at our theme verse and also SP's favourite verse, 2 Cor 2:14.

"But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place." (NASB) - 2 Cor 2:14

This verse reminds us that we need to recognise that we are ALREADY victors in Christ! We don't have to attain the victory or fight for it, because the victory was already attained at the cross when Jesus died for us! That calls for a mindset change to run our race as victors, not runners trying to gain the victory.

Look at the second part of the verse. How is the sweet aroma of the knowledge of God going to be manifested in our lives? Well, that calls for us to rise up as WARRIORS OF LIGHT and to BREAK OUT in 3 areas! Go Deep, Look Far, Ask Big!

GO DEEP : It's a matter of Prayer!
LOOK FAR : It's a matter of Practice!
ASK BIG : It's a matter of Passion!

Well, if you are still not sure what this means to you, DON'T WORRY! SP is going to share his heart about all of these during service this Sunday! I wouldn't miss it for the world if I were you! Make sure you are there to catch the spirit of what he is going to share! And after that, chase after your G12 leader to ask what all these means for you in your open cell or G12 group!

I'm excited about 2007.
