Who is your enemy?

Has someone called you names and offended you?
As a leader, do you have a member under you who cannot come to church or for encounter weekend because of parental objection?
Have you ever put in a lot of effort into an assignment your boss gave you only to know that he/she took all the credit at the end of the day?

So who is your enemy? Your friend who called you names? Your cell member’s parents? Or your boss? If we think that it is anyone of the above, we’ve just fallen into the trap of the evil one! Who is the real enemy? THE DEVIL!

In today’s sermon, God reminded me in Eph 6 :12 ‘For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms’ that our real enemy is the devil, not the people whom we face everyday. The people who have made you very angry and upset are themselves victims of the devil because they have been made use of by the devil to cause trouble and upset others.

Is there someone in your heart right now that makes your blood boil the moment you think of him/her? May I ask that you pause for a moment and pray a blessing for him/her? Ask God to bless him/her with His love and peace, speak God’s blessings upon them and intercede for them that the devil will lose his foothold in their lives so that they will not be victims of the devil’s plans.
