10 by 24 : "Love is in the Air"

It's interesting how many of our posts recently focussed on the theme of Love. I thought it would be helpful to link them up for us so that we can see the bigger picture.

1. The Love we need - Ps Seng Lee - Devotion 10 (The day i was asked to be blind)

2. A Call to Love - Joshua - Teach me to love, Lord!

3. A Way to Love- Jelvin - God's "Good Hearted Young Man"

4. A Need to Love - Sarah - Love is not in a day's affair

5. A Lifestyle of Love - Kenneth - Love is in the air

Pastor Senglee's devotion stirred a desire in me to experience God's love more and more everyday. After that, Joshua started off sharing with us a Call to love indiscriminately as we know what God's love. Then Jelvin humbly shared with us his unique expression of love to others which I thought was a wonderful and creative way of blessing others. Following that, Sarah's reflections really talks about what it means to love God. Love God = Love People.

And now off to Kenneth's challenge for us to lead a Lifestyle of Walking in Love.

Just wanna share from
Eph 5:1,2

"Be therefore imitators of God, as beloved children. Walk in love, even as Christ also loved you, and gave himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling fragrance."

I pray that God's sweet smelling fragrance will be emitted from us this week as we imitate him. Listen to the Holy Spirit.

Upon reflection, ‘imitating’ means to copy and to do exactly as He has done.
How willing are we to offer ourselves up to others? Do we complain or gripe when we have to go for cell or service? Do we count the cost?

How blessed we are that Christ paid the price for us....what price and for what reason?

Live life knowing that, without Jesus paying the price, we would never have been bought. Without the love of God, we would never know or be able to love.

So love...as much as we can....because He first loved us!

The bible is so unique, God does not waste words…'Walk in Love'!

Indicates that where ever we walk, we love.

It means that, even to strangers, even to the person who cut your queue, even to the guy who cut your lane, even to the person in church who booked the seats for the non-existent friends, even to the cell member who refuses to love the cell, YES, love them!

I pray that this word brings a change of heart for us today, that we love because He first loved us!
