Do people see Jesus in your life?

Reflection from G12 Conference 2007

Do people see Jesus in you or are they often shocked by how you live your life?

During the session on “Life-transforming aspect of G12 Vision”, Pastor Claudia shared about how Columbia was changed. This made me think about changing families. And it all linked up! I want to be a politician in order to help families! All around the nations! I BELIEVE I CAN, BY FAITH, FOR GOD. If it may seem that I have a dream that seems too big for me right now, the Lord said to me that it may seem now that I have no power to attain my dreams, but I surely can do it, with God!

Some of my own thoughts along the way
- I asked God for some words. He said “DO YOUR LOVE ME? FEED MY SHEEPS.” This brought to mind certain people He wanted me to reach out to. He told me to GIVE, but to always return to Him to receive.

- Also, does my life reflect Christ and what do people see in me? Jesus, or something else? This makes me wonder whether I really show a changed life, be it relationships, or be it my speech. Do I honor the words “Guard my heart and guard my tongue?”

- One thing I was very touched about – I feel that these few months I have grown in the Lord. And I realize that it is God, who first has chosen me, He wants me to grow, and God wants to LOVE me! Indeed, this shows that He did not forget my prayers/promise in the beginning of the year – that I want to grow in Him. (Read on...)

- And when asking HOW to love Him more. He just told me “Back to basics”. Just have to be simple. Want God’s blessings in my life? Give Him my heart.

Proverbs 23:15, 19, 26
15 My son, if your heart is wise, then my heart will be glad;…
19 Listen, my son, and be wise, and keep your heart on the right path….
26 My son, give me your heart and let your eyes keep to my ways…].
Truly, it is all about holiness in God, and not resisting or questioning, but just receiving His love.

Lord I acknowledge that you are testing me and to disciplining me, but God You are doing all these out of love, God you really love me. THANK YOU GOD for loving me. God I need you too, in every aspect of my life.

From the sharing Cami & I had on the second night, she reminded me to pray about it. On the third day again when I went for “Deal or No Deal” auditions, it occurred to me yet again that I did not pray. Key phrase it “What does God say about it? WWJD? PRAYYYY” From that day on, I’ve been praying before every presentation I make, and before I got angry and wanted to say something nasty. It really works! I want to encourage you to do the same!
