Blessing the community

As we read on, let us continue to spur one another on this life-changing, nation-transforming mission, remembering Senior Pastor Lawrence Khong's words that we are 'blessing God's highest creation... His special creation' through it all. Together, let us press on to a victorious finish in blessing our people, our nation in this 42nd year of national independence! '100K Blessing' warriors, keep your testimonies coming in - to encourage the rest of our family as well!

I really don't know if it's me or my friends who have been more blessed. Since it is more blessed to give than to receive, so perhaps that explains my unexplained joy this few days. Just last monday, I felt like it was the happiest Monday in my life, for reasons I really ain't sure.
As of now, in the 2nd week, I have blessed 7 people already. And each day I look forward to blessing more of my friends. I felt led by God to bless my close non-christian friends (eg. ex-schoolmates, camp friends and family of my cell members) instead of strangers on the streets. And so, the responses I have received have really blessed my heart because I see the Lord softening and opening up their hearts to receive these blessings.

Just to share some of my experiences. A friend of my from the signal department came into my office to ask some stuff, and as he left, I shouted for him to come back and I told him about this campaign. His response was rather funny, he told me, 'But I don't have my wallet with me now'! I told him that it was free and he can just simply receive the blessings. He told me about his problems and also said that FCBC is pretty cool to bless ppl like this, and he wants to come to church with me!

One my good friends from Dunman High was about to fly to taiwan soon, and I realise that I gotta take the opportunity to pray for her and bless her. I did it over the phone and mailed the card to her together with another card I had written for her. I have been trying to lead her to Christ for a very very long time and I see a breakthrough this time as I asked her for her response after I prayed for her and she said she felt more peaceful and calm about flying the next day cos there's a typhoon right now in Taiwan. I was very blessed by her response and she sms-ed me the next day to say that she has safely landed in Taiwan.

I had mixed emotions initially about this campaign. I was excited about it, but I was also worried that I might get caught in the form of it because after all as Christians, we are supposed to love the ppl around us it's kinda sad to need a campaign for me to start going. But as the campaign kicked off, my life has changed tremondously. It's supernatural!! As I bless people, there has been a new burst of unexplainable joy everyday!

I believe the challenge is not to bless 20 ppl. The challenge is to continue blessing people even after the campaign. I pray that we will all truly catch the heart of God for His people thru this campaign and that we will not need a piece of paper to pray and bless our friends in the future!! I see God raising a new generation of evangelists amongst us!!
