Final Charge: 5 Blessings per Warrior

Defining moments are special because critical and important events take place in such times. Likewise, our '100K Blessing' has now rounded the bend, crossed into the final, critical 100-metre stretch, and entered its finest hour yet! Here is where it determines the victor: The time for us to accelerate towards the finishing line, and not to slow down, give up or look back. So let us finish the race as strong, victorious warriors – aided by God every step of the way! Together, let us press on to help our 20 friends receive life-transforming blessings from God!

As SP gave us the final charge during Youth service to bless 5 people before the end of the day, our warriors went out in full force! Some went to the beach, some to heartland shopping centres at Simei and Tampines and others to the city area where they gave out balloons and blessed the public with the 100K at the same time. The gates of heaven were opened wide and God's blessings poured forth into the lives of many Singaporeans. At the end of the day, many would testify that as they blessed others, they in return were blessed even more. Here are some testimonies to encourage you and to testify of what God is truly doing in our midst.

Junwei | Kenneth's Tribe:
Last Sunday, after visiting Johnston, we were on our way out when we met a Myanmar girl who asked for directions. Being new to Singapore, we brought her to the right bus stop. When walking, we all had this idea of wanting to bless her with the 100k phamplet. But just so happens, the bus came right when we arrived at the bus-stop and she left. But just now, Jun Wei met the same girl who was working in a shop at the MRT station and managed to bless her. Indeed, when its in the Lord's plan, it will happen and all we need to do is to trust Him and be obedient followers.

Daniel Wong | Kenneth's Tribe:
I talked to one guy who works at a bakery who said he had a bad past, very notorious guy and all. So he ticked 'forgiveness' cos he said he's done alotta bad stuff. So I share the Gospel with him and how to receive true forgiveness and he said he'll definitely give me a ring if his prayers are answered.

Jelvin, 22, undergraduate | Kenneth's Tribe:
This is my second experience during this campaign approaching strangers for blessings, but this time round, there is a target to be met. Having this target is good as it pushes me to work through faith to reach the target as it is not something that could be usually done without faith.

As I hung around the MRT station, I kept asking the Lord to show me thepeople whom I can bless. The first 3 people whom He pointed out to me was indeed a challenge as they only speak Chinese. Not wanting to deprive them of a chance to receive a blessing, I plucked up the courage and continued to explain to them about this 100k blessing with my limited command of Chinese. (Read on...)

It was my first time doing this in Chinese but I still thank God for giving me the opportunity to bless them despite the slight language barrier. In fact, I found out 2 of the 3 were from a city in China that I had visited recently and I managed to strike conversation with them regarding my recent trip there. Although I could not totally understand the entire conversation, they were rather open about Christianity and asked about our celebration services and I managed to provide the relevant information about the Chinese service.

I met up with an old man who was alone and after approaching him, found out his son is a pastor. Although he didn't want to receive the blessings, I was lead to sit down and listen to his sharing. Throughout the conversation, he shared a lot with me and I picked out certain needs in his life which I later requested if I could bless him with. Although he still didn't accept it, I felt it was an opportunity for him to share his feelings and problems with me and I'm glad I didn't walk away when he rejected the blessings but continued to spend some time with him. I realised the Lord was showing me not to be so task-oriented that I might miss the interaction among people and I felt I had blessed him in one way by being his listening companion.

Two young children whom I approached later happened to be already blessed by their school teacher and it warmed my heart to know how widespread this campaign has reached out to the community and I managed to get updates on the blessings they asked for. To see how open they were to share was indeed heart-warming.

The next two people whom I blessed were shown to me by the Lord. He directed me to this poly student who later was open to receiving a prayer from me. It was a breakthrough for me as it was the first time I managed to pray for a stranger. I was totally surprised at how a non-believer who had met me for the first time in his life was so open to receiving a prayer and I thank God for this opportunity.

At that point of my fourth person, I was told to gather back as time was running out and I actually thought I would stop at 4. But I know I've committed five people into the hands of the Lord and I had the faith to believe it would happen. Just when I left the fourth guy, the Lord immediately showed me the fifth person who was waiting nearby. I was led to bless him and it encouraged me to know that the Lord is faithful to my prayer requests. In a span of forty minutes, I've managed to have so many experiences and many for the first time.

The five people whom I've blessed would not have come possible without Him and the faith to believe in Him. Truly, I give all credit to Him who made everything possible.
