God is intentional about everyone we bless!

Having worked in TOUCH, approaching strangers is not something new. However, it has been an eye opener to see how God leads people to us and open doors. After the charge from Pastor, I left for Simei with my group. I briefly explained the procedure to my guys and we headed out for our mini faith exercise. I went ahead without much plan of whom should I go for. Somehow the Lord showed me how intentional He is about each individual I approached.

  1. The first was a girl who seemed to be hurrying off for an appointment. When I started explaining to her, her facial expression seemed to me that she was not interested and ‘why me?’ kind of thing. After my careful explanation of my intention, she decided to choose for herself a blessing. She ticked the fullness of Holy Spirit. Slightly surprised, I asked her if she is a believer. She then began to explain that she is facing parental objection in going to church. Right now, she is attending Cornerstone. I immediately understood that God wanted me to pray for this issue regarding her parents’ objection to her faith.
  2. The second was a Chinese man who came from Jiangsu, China. He is here in Singapore to work. I am so glad that he appreciated the blessing so much and was very grateful for it. We started chatting and upon asking him about his beliefs, he explained that his mum, who is still in China, is a believer. The entire family follows his mum’s belief though he himself does not believe in anything. I began to see that God wants to show him that He is pursuing him even in a foreign land. I prayed for him to experience God too.
  3. The third was a mother and daughter who were waiting for the husband to pick them up. Upon talking, I found out that they were all Christians. I continued to bless the whole family regardless. The husband in return prayed for me and blessed me. I suddenly felt in my spirit that God wants to refresh my tired soul. He was intentional about it. I was blessed when his hands were laid on me.
  4. The final 2 were a father and son who were waiting for a bus. They are into Taoism explaining the gods they worship. I didn’t have a chance to pray for them as the bus arrived. God reminded me that I was worshipping the same gods in my childhood when I was into Taoism. His grace saves me and allowed me to be where I am today. I believe the same can happen to this father and son as I pray for them.
God is intentional about every person we bless. Let’s do it with our eyes open.
