What a priviledge to serve!

Out tribe is up for choir duty this month. I must say it was a very interesting experience for myself as I joined the rest as choir members for the first week. I experienced the joy of being able to worship God together as a family. The time together certainly helped me to know better some of the other people in our spiritual family that I never knew before! That Thursday, I had the previledge of getting to know another Joshua who is under Kenneth. I discovered that besides our name, we had many other things in common! We both liked music, liked to play musical instruments and loved to sing! I was wowed!

I hope the choir experience has been a refreshing experience for those of you who have been involved. Many of you would have heard me share how it was a blessing for me to see soooo many of you who are family serving alongside with me. Like I said, if I had the time to know each of you personally, I would. But the next best thing for me would be to have you guys and gals understand a little but more of what I do every 2 weeks of the month! That way, you get to be part of my life (even though you might not have seen it that way!) and I get to be part of yours! :)

I was very encouraged by some of the reflections of my guys and I hope they encourage you too.

I learned that chior is not abt movement or abt singing its abt worshipping God and i feel that choir is very fun and exciting when I go on stage to dance and sing for God - TRISTEN GOH

I feel that the choir practice has been a wonderful experience. I have gained new experiences in performing in front of a huge number of people. Initially, I felt a bit nervous and was rather distracted as I had many steps to remember and there were many people in front of us and I was afraid that I would be laughed at when I did something wrong. But after a while, I slowly calmed down and was able to concentrate during the song "From the Inside Out".

My participation in the choir has helped me bond greater with the cell, especially the older ones like you (Angus) and Daniel. Before the practice, we spent time together having dinner. This is the way we show that we love each other by spending time with them and knowing them better.

I have learnt that participation is actually a priviledge and I should grab every chance that comes my way. So I will be volunteering for hospitality duty too. That is all. - TIMOTHY

It was a good experience, although was a bit tense n when worshipping get abit distracted but it was still nice. May be it is because it is the first time. Ha ha. Serving was a priviledge. - NICHOLAS YEO

I was very stoned for the past few days and was not in the mood to do anything. However as sunday drew near, I felt that God was teaching me to praise Him in the good times and the bad times. Indeed it was not easy. As I praised him, I felt my burdens and worries being lifted up by him. Indeed God is good! - SING CHUEN

I hope to be able to share with the rest of you some of my thoughts and reflections on worship which I made a point to do with the choir after every rehearsal. This month has indeed been a special month for me serving in the celebration team with all of you around. I hope it was just as special for you.
